Hi, I’m Chris.
I’m a humanistic integrative therapist offering LGBTQ+ affirming online therapy across the UK. At the heart of my work is relationship – creating a space where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself or have everything figured out before you begin.
Many of the people I work with are outwardly functioning but inwardly tired. They might be carrying stress, self-doubt or burnout, struggling with boundaries or people-pleasing, or quietly questioning who they are and how they want to live. Often, they’re used to adapting and are ready for their own space where they don’t have to.
I identify as a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community (he/him) and I’m GSRD affirming. I work inclusively with people of all cultures and backgrounds, with a particular focus on supporting LGBTQ+ people in a way that is affirming, respectful and grounded. I also work in a neurodiversity-affirming way, welcoming clients who are diagnosed, self-identified or simply noticing patterns in themselves that deserve understanding rather than judgement.
My career began in learning and development 25 years ago, with a specialised focus on wellbeing and mental health since establishing my business in 2012. For over a decade, I have had the privilege of helping thousands of people to develop a stronger and more resilient mindset through training and solution-focused coaching. Therapy clients often tell me that they love this practical approach to learning that I can balance alongside my therapeutic experience.
My approach to therapy draws primarily from Person-Centred therapy, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis. In practice, that means I’m much less interested in labels or quick solutions and more interested in your lived experience – how things feel, how patterns have formed and what happens between us in the therapy space, because the therapeutic relationship itself is an important part of the work.
I work collaboratively and at your pace. Therapy with me isn’t about being fixed or told what to do. It’s about slowing down, making sense of what’s going on and building self-trust so that change feels sustainable rather than forced.
I aim to offer a space that feels calm, thoughtful and human. Sessions often involve reflection, curiosity, noticing patterns and gently challenging unhelpful ways of relating to yourself or others. There’s room for seriousness, lightness, honesty and humour – whatever feels true for you. I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel cold or clinical to be effective. Being real matters more.
Outside of the therapy space, I love spending time with my two dogs and when I'm relaxing, I can usually be found in front of the TV watching The Traitors, Coronation Street (no judgement!), or something equally as highbrow. I'm also unapologetically devoted to Kylie, who I've seen live more times than I'm prepared to admit.
I’m an accredited registrant member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Acc.) and work exclusively online. I offer a free 20 minute introductory call so that we can get a sense of whether working together feels right, without pressure or obligation.
I continue to develop my professional knowledge and skills to ensure my work remains thoughtful, ethical and responsive to the people I support.
If something here resonates, you’re very welcome to take the next step.
